In a skillet brown brats and cut up.

Make Soup Mix
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Stir in entire package of soup mix. Reduce heat and add the cut up brats. Simmer uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionly. Don't let soup scorch. Salt and pepper to taste.
